Shatavari is the root Indian women have taken through exactly those years for centuries. Ayurveda places it closer to women's health than any other plant, and the classical texts recommend it for men as well. It comes from Asparagus racemosus, a climbing plant in the asparagus family, and it's the tuberous roots that are used. The name means a hundred roots, and a single plant can put out close to that many.
How Ayurveda places it
Ayurveda describes it as cooling, sweet and nourishing, one of the moistening herbs rather than the drying ones. It has been part of daily life in Indian homes for two thousand years.

How to take it
It's traditionally taken after meals with warm milk, though water is perfectly fine, and it's used steadily across months rather than in a burst. That's how the tradition uses it and it's how we'd suggest approaching it.
